I couldn't post about the Bubblegum print without also sharing the step stool I painted to match the same bedding for another baby-in-the-belly.
My friend, Jana, from high school was about to become an aunt, so she came to me about painting a step-stool for her niece. She wanted the step stool to be something really special... a custom and personalized gift. There was only one problem: the shower was fast-approaching and Baby Girl's parents had not decided 100% on the name yet.
Even though Jana lived in a difference city than I did, she made an effort to make sure that she could pick up the stool before for the shower, then return it to me after her brother and sister-in-law had seen her surprise gift.
After the baby was born, when we knew that Mommy and Daddy couldn't change their minds on a name, I finally personalized the stool with Emily's name.
This isn't the first time I have waited to personalize an item until after the baby's birth, and it won't be the last. The name of the baby is so sacred to the parents and they need to be 100% sure they LOVE it before they make that final decision... so give the parents time to decide for sure.
If you are buying a shower gift for a baby-in-the-belly and are unsure of the name, or the spelling of the name, e-mail me at kidspiredcreations@gmail.com so we can discuss options. We may be able to do a "gift card" type thing where the parents can redeem the gift after the baby is born. This is also a great option if you do not know what the nursery will look like.
Or if you're like Jana and live in the South Louisiana area, we could possibly pass the gift back and forth so you have something to show at the shower!
